But most important: the optimal dispatching of containers. The real-time decision for the next trip for an empty truck, taking real-time positions of driver, chassis and truck into account, as well as service and time window constraints and important ADR and other rules.
The routing of containers. How to optimally route a container through a continent, e.g., Europe, taking time-tables and tariffs of all involved relevant lanes, e.g., from ferry and train operator, into account. In the real-time dispatching, overviews, filters and insight should be possible for each lane. It should be possible to plan each separate lane independently, while still taking the relationships into account.
Where are my resources during the day, what is the actual position of the containers, trailers, trucks and drivers? Which containers are empty / full and do they have the right equipment? Is there a good balance between the flows in my network to optimize the utilization of my fleet? What is the optimal repositioning of the containers?
