14 March 2012 Hazardous goods distributor selects ORTEC to guarantee safe and innovative planning To continue to provide the best service to its customers (in the current market conditions) logistics service provider Van den Anker has decided to work with ORTEC. 28 November 2011 Strong focus on ROI secures OPET deal for ORTEC Following an extensive return on investment analysis, OPET, a leading player in the petroleum and oil industry and part of Koc Holding, selects ORTEC to automate its lubricant distribution planning. Speaking about the selection, Murat Inci, Project Manager at OPET, explains: "From a group of several specialist suppliers, ORTEC outshone all the competition by clearly demonstrating the necessary capabilities to handle all of our planning constraints. The deciding factor, however, was the fact that ORTEC could deliver large reductions in transportation costs, by an estimated 5% compared with the previous year, which would equate to significant financial savings for our company. 22 August 2011 ORTEC team awarded second place in AIMMS/MOPTA optimization modeling competition The final stage of the AIMMS modeling competition reached its conclusion at the 2011 MOPTA conference and the ORTEC team, from Gouda in the Netherlands, was awarded second place. Rianne Langenberg, one of the ORTEC team members, comments on this fantastic result: "It's an honor to reach the finalist stage and to come second out of a group of very competent fellow competitors." 20 July 2011 Optimized loads and improved vehicle routing for building materials leads to national deployment After a successful pilot project at its main site in the Netherlands (in Alkmaar), the Dutch specialist in wood products and timber, which is part of the Deli Maatschappij Group, took the decision to move ahead with ORTEC.
