ORTEC sponsors family room at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital (JHA)22 December 2011

ORTEC is delighted to be able to support the Jeroen Bosch Hospital in it's initiative to decorate a number of family rooms within the fantastic new hospital complex. Willem-Jan Verhoef, Healthcare Director at ORTEC, comments: "We are really pleased that we can get involved because the Jeroen Bosch Hospital is one of our most valuable and innovative customers."

For the critically ill, close contact with family and friends is really important. This also holds true for the family members, particularly at crucial moments during the patient's care. For this reason, the new hospital will provide eleven family rooms so that loved ones can stay overnight and have somewhere to rest between visiting times. Each family room will include a kitchenette, work area with computer, sitting area with a dining/games table, sofa bed, upholstery, wall lighting, and wall decoration.

ORTEC's sponsorship of one of the Jeroen Bosch family rooms forms part of its Optimizing the World Program. As Willem-Jan Verhoef explains: "The hospital's use of our workforce scheduling system already ensures sufficient staffing levels are in place to deliver high quality care. But given the role that bedside care plays in accelerating the healing process, it's great that we can contribute to bringing families and patients closer together in order to speed up the recovery process!"
