Based on the In the match against Germany, Spain kept the upper hand throughout most of the game. The Spanish team not only dominated their opponent’s half of the pitch, but also came out an average of 2 points higher than the Germans on overall match performance ratings. Their superiority was also noticeable in the number of shots at goal – Spain’s 16 shots on target convincingly outnumbered the German’s 6 goal attempts.
Xavi
Xavi’s contribution played a crucial role in Spain’s success. He carried out the most actions and was consequently rated the most effective player, scoring a very impressive average of 8.7. Germany
