Global
Implementations of our solutions in all continents and in more than 40 countries. Worldwide roll-out for various multinationals, such as Shell, TNT and Coca-Cola. ORTEC has offices in various European countries and in North America. In 2007, 40% of our logistics revenues came from our foreign offices and 50% of our Dutch turnover came from worldwide implementations.
According to Capgemini (Transportation Report 2007), ORTEC is the largest company in terms of number of employees working on scheduling systems in the transport sector worldwide.
Innovative
In 2006, ORTEC won the Dutch IT Innovation Prize. One of the founders was among those honored in Ernst & Young¹s “Entrepreneur of the year” election in 2007. In 2007, ORTEC was praised at the Edelman Award Ceremony as one of the companies to put the best optimization techniques into practice worldwide. Annual savings: $45 million dollars due to optimization of routing and scheduling of more than 10.000 trucks at Coca-Cola Enterprises. ORTEC invests a major part of its profit in R&D and product development. Four of the last ten Logistics Prize-winners in the Netherlands are ORTEC customers. In 2008 ORTEC is selected again by Inbound Logistics and Food Logistics Top 100.
Socially Responsible
For almost 10 years, ORTEC has sponsored the Dutch national volleyball team, the ORTEC Rotterdam.Nesselande team and Beach Volleyball. ORTEC¹s knowledge is deployed for team analyses, not only in volleyball, but now also in soccer and hockey. In addition, ORTEC applies its logistics knowledge worldwide for humanitarian aid, together with TNT, as supporter of the Moving the World initiative.

ORTEC has been around for 27 years. The average annual growth in revenues during the past 10 years was more than 20% up to over 100 million Dollars in 2008. ORTEC¹s turnover has tripled between 2001 and 2007. We currently have more than 700 employees, more than 1000 customers and employ more mathematical specialists than the Dutch Central Statistics Institute.
Sustainable
ORTEC software optimizes the routes of more than 150,000 vehicles worldwide. This results in an annual CO2 reduction of approximately 400,000 tons. By using our solutions, our customers save millions of liters of diesel annually. In the health care sector, about 250,000 people are deployed more efficiently thanks to ORTEC¹s scheduling software. More than 150 organizations, the largest number of which operate in the health care sector (35 of the 50 largest health care institutions in the Netherlands) make use of ORTEC¹s workforce scheduling solution. TNT explicitly mentioned our solutions to reduce their CO2 footprint and “focus on networks” during their analysts presentation in December 2007 and in the TNT press release in April 2008.
