This function focuses on a new planning concept: advanced manual splitting of routes into sections by the planner. Advantages of this function are:
- keep drivers relatively close to their home region
- keep vehicles on the road 24 hrs a day
- maximize driver productivity by incorporating availability in shifts
- make sure the freight moves swiftly through the network
- enable the planning of routes and resources without
visibility of the route grid (trip grid)
- support new plan scenarios for assigning resources to
route sections & resource shifts. Like move/swap sections,
create/plan empty sections to move resources.
- improve visibility of sections and resource shifts in grids, Gantt chart and on the map.
