Airline Management Suite

Description The Airline Management Suite consists of a series of systems that offer superior planning and control systems for most efficient use of an airline’s fleet and crew:

  • Aircraft and Crew Planning
  • Optimizers like the Aircraft rotation Generator and the Crew Pairing Generator and DCM, a tool for establishing optimal aircraft assignments

Aircraft and Crew Planning Airline aircraft and flight crew planning are complex processes with a huge impact on the airline’s operating costs and on the well being of the flight crews. Aircraft planning is the result of balancing between aircraft capabilities, maintenance requirements, commercial considerations and operational constraints. Likewise, crew planning balances government rules, airline interests and crew happiness. The ORTEC Aircraft Rotation Generator (ARG) and Crew Pairing Generator (CPG) systems support airlines with the optimal construction of aircraft rotations and crew pairings. Read more

ORTEC DCM Dynamic Capacity Management

The Dynamic Capacity Management system (ORTEC DCM) optimizes airline profits by optimal assignment of aircraft to flight legs based on the demand and revenue forecast. The system generates optimal aircraft rotations based on the best match between demand and the aircraft capacity.

ORTEC DCM is a suite containing two systems:

  • DCM-Planning (DCM-P) for decision making on the longer term fleet composition and initial rotations per season, and
  • DCM-Operations (DCM-O) for the daily optimization of the rotations based on the latest known demand and revenue forecast. (prototype)
