- ORTEC established in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on 1 April

1985
- ORTEC Shortrec launched for Schuitema

1989
- Relocation to Gouda

1990
- ORTEC Consultants BV established; the company ceases to be a commercial partnership (‘VOF’)

1991
- ORTEC Consultants is comprised of three departments: Pensions, Production Planning, Logistics and Planning & Structure

1993
- Partnership with Belgium-based telecoms company Ditel
- Establishment of ORTEC France

1994
- Establishment of ORTEC Systems

1996
- ORTEC Consultants comprises the following departments: Risk Management, Performance & Real Estate, Production Planning, and Logistics and Aviation.

1997
- Establishment of ORTEC PlanningSystems in Belgium

1998
- ORTEC Consultants is comprised of 2 units: ORTEC Financial Consultants and ORTEC Logistics Consultants
- ORTEC International is established as a holding company
- ORTEC acquires an interest in Logiplan, a German-based software provider specializing in scheduling solutions
- ORTEC acquires an interest in TMS, a Dutch provider of logistics software for the cement industry as well as in MEBIN, de Hoop NCD

1999
- Opening of ORTEC’s Rotterdam office

2000
- ORTEC France sold to Air Liquide
- Establishment of ORTEC USA
- Establishment of ORTEC Academy
- Acquisition of IKS Groningen
- Acquisition of Taxion
- ORTEC acquires an interest in BASE, a South-African company
- ORTEC in figures: Revenues of EUR 14 million, 200 employees, operations in 4 countries. Continuous annual growth of 20%.

2001
- Establishment of ORTEC Work Schedule Management
- Establishment of ORTEC Taxion
- Establishment of OrtaX
- Opening of ORTEC Amsterdam

2002
- Establishment of ORTEC Oil & Gas Consultants
- Establishment of FinX

2003
- ORTEC in figures: Revenues of EUR 23 million, 300+ employees, operations in 4 countries. Continuous annual growth of 20%.

2004
- ORTEC units: ORTEC Logistics, including Products & Consulting, and ORTEC Finance.

2005
- ORTEC re-acquires ORTEC France from Air Liquide
- ORTEC receives a ‘Gazelle’ award from Dutch financial daily Het Financieele Dagblad in recognition of its stable growth
- ORTEC receives the Daniel H Wagner prize for excellence in OR - view article

2006
- ORTEC in figures: Revenues of EUR 43 million (300% compared to 2000),

- ORTEC nominated for Edelman Award in recognition of the success of the ORTEC - Coca-Cola project.

- Guus Boender wins NPN Award in the category "Most Valuable Contribution to the pension industry”
- Establishment of ORTEC UK and Ireland in Birmingham
- Establishment of ORTEC Central en Eastern Europe in Bucharest, Romania
- Acquisition of Inovia (France)
- Acquisition of Brightrivers (Switzerland)
- Acquisition of Team Support Systems (Netherlands)
